SUTRAK began U.S. Operations in 1981. Traditional HVAC systems with belt driven compressors were the standard for many years and SUTRAK’s patented roof mount technology quickly grew clientele from coast to coast. After a corporate sale in 1996 of international divisions, SUTRAK Corporation (SUTRAK USA) became independently owned.
New technology soon developed specifically for all electric HVAC systems on transit buses. This started slowly with gas electric and diesel electric hybrids. SUTRAK designed and developed a power generation system that allows all electric HVAC on both CNG and diesel bus applications. There is a rapid growing demand for all electric HVAC systems and SUTRAK has the longest running experience in production deliveries of these systems.
